| What is overselling? and why don't you do it? Overselling in the hosting industry is when a provider promises / allocates more resources than they can actually deliver based on the assumption that it won't be used. For example: If a provider has a hard limit of 250GB storage and they sell 30 accounts with 10GB allocated each, that's overselling. this can also be applied to memory, bandwidth & in many cases will effect CPU usage most. The hosting industry is saturated with "over-sellers", and while some manage to still offer a somewhat satisfactory service doing so, the difference in quality is very noticeable when comparing with those who do not oversell.
